Doctor's Visit

Last week I had a doctor's visit. As I was sitting and waiting for my appointment a man and his wife were sitting across from me. They were speaking quietly among each other. After a while the man's wife left the waiting room and the man said to me, "Have you seen the receptionist and how much makeup she wears"? I said, "No". He proceeds to tell me how much makeup she has on and for me to notice her when I go back to my appointment. I said, " Okay". He then continued to ask me why some women wears so much makeup. I replied, "I have no idea, maybe to cover up flaws they may think they have". His comment back to me, "Well, it makes them look very ugly and speaking from a man's point of view, I'm very unattractive to women with a lot of makeup... I like the natural look". I was just laughing inside. He then, paused and said to me, "I like the way your face looks, you don't wear to much makeup on your face, it looks very nice but your eyes have a little to much". I didn't know what to say.... I guess I looked a little uncomfortable and he apologized to me. Just at that moment I was called in for my appointment. I looked at the receptionist to see what he was talking about, he wasn't exaggerating at all, she had a lot of makeup on. She looked like she had painted it on. So I started wondering about her too. Why so much? Why doesn't her husband tell her, honey, I think you have to much makeup on. Maybe she has a husband who likes a lot of makeup on her face.
After my appointment the first thing I did was call Dave and asked him if I wore to much eye makeup? Dave said, "no, why"? I told him about the conversation with the man at the doctors. Dave just laughed at the situation and told me my eyes look fine the way they are.
Okay, it's been a week and every time I put my eye makeup on I think of the man in the doctors office!
