Kitchen Renovation

After the holidays we will be renovating our kitchen, YEA! Here are some before pictures of our sooooo lovely kitchen.
Dave and I know the mess we will be in for a while. Not looking forward to that part, but we have done this before and it's worth it in the long run. I'm excited to have it look the way I want it to look. We will be pulling up the flooring and carrying our wood floors into the kitchen. New counter tops, maybe granite, stone or cement I haven't decided which one for sure. I've looked at all the samples but still am undecided.
We will be taking down the tile back splash and putting new up. New stove, dishwasher, sink, ect. New kitchen table that will fit better in our gazebo eat in kitchen. Painting the walls a golden color. We will keep the cabinets, we like them. Dave will take them all out and we will clean them really good, put new knobs on and they will look brand new. Besides he needs to take the bottom cabinets out to put the flooring down. Yes, I like the flooring to go under all my cabinets.
I think Dave may plan on redoing our pantry too. I'm always thrilled to know Dave can do this all himself. The counter tops will need to be done by someone else since Dave doesn't have the resources to do them. If he did, he could. It so nice to save so much money. We've had some friends recently redo their kitchen and the just labor cost they charge is CRAZY! So yes, I'm thrilled that Dave has the talent and wisdom to do this kind of work. Thank you, doughnut! I love you!

Doughnut?!? I think I remember you saying you called him that! You should check out our countertops when you are here. The are not granite, but they look like granite. And they did not cost near as much as granite.

Do you think Dave will do a few things for us while you are here?!? Just kidding! Maybe you all could come back in the summer and help us build a deck out back and put windows on our screened in porch!

Will talk later.
Love,
Stephanie and Patrick

I'm excited to see the new kitchen whenever it gets done!

Hope you like the changes... let me know if you don't like the background (I thought it was pretty cute...). There are more at thecutestsblogontheblock.com if you find a better one.

Oh, and make sure you have the volume up when you get on your blog! I put one of your favorite songs on :) Let me know if you want me to add any more.
