Last week was spring break for Spencer & Alexis. I love how they have 6 days off of school and two full weekend's. You can always plan a long vacation, which is much needed from our every day activities, sports and school. What a great way to rejuvenate!
This year, we went to Gulf Shores in Alabama. We had so much fun and the weather was perfect! It's the closest beach to us, a 12 hr drive... not bad. A few years ago we went to Pensacola and loved the beaches and the white sand and warm water. We wanted to go back again.
We had a wonderful time relaxing at the beach, shopping, eating all our meals together and having some good quality family time. We stayed in a condo right on the beach... it was beautiful and so convenient to go right out your door to the beach. We definitely will go back and stay in the same condo.
We took some family pictures (with me not in them) the day before we left. I was allergic to something (pollen) and my forehead, eyes and nose swelled up pretty big. I looked like incredible hulk and a lion. Well, that's what Dave, Spencer & Alexis kept telling me. I even scared myself when I looked into the mirror. I still have a little swelling after being home for 2 days but it's slowly going away.
I'm excited for SPRING!
