Lax/Cheer

Lacrosse season has started once again! Yea... love watching this sport! Try outs are over and Alexis made the team once again! It's aways a nerve racking week with any tryouts... just because you made the team  last year... doesn't guarantee you will make the team/squad again... with any sport. It's pretty competitive!
Alexis will be playing for her 2nd year as a middy/attack. She's a fast little runner, so this is perfect for her and she can attack well. I think she may be the only one who attacks without fear, on her team!
Erica played in high school, as well. We didn't know much about the sport until Erica started playing. We fell in love with it instantly! Erica was a awesome player too, she played defense!
I remember people saying to me, "How is Erica, being a cheerleader, so aggressive on the field, because she is the most sweetest, most kindest person I've have ever met!" I would just laugh every time I would hear that comment and I heard it a lot! I guess it's the competition in us! ;) I loved how she could take a ball from whomever at any given moment and keep that ball from making a goal. It was fun to watch!
Side note... speaking of Cheerleading... we watched Erica cheer for four years in high school. It was a very demanding sport. They participated in competition's, as well. It was very hard work! Cheering consists of tumbling, jumps, dancing, cheering, chanting and stunting.  Sooooooooo... every time I hear someone say, "Cheerleading, isn't a sport"... I just chuckle... because they've (in most cases) never experienced it!
