St. Louis Tornados!

We are in the season of TORNADO'S! We go through this every year. Since living in the mid-west for many years, I've noticed I've become complaisant about the warning and watches. For example, Quinn called during the storm to see if we were alright.  He told me the airport had just been hit and surrounding suburb's around St Louis. I need to do better at taking them more serious. I just feel safe here... but knowing, seeing and watching the destruction a tornado can do... it makes me want to be more serious about the warnings/watches!
Friends of ours have lost their homes... completely gone! We are just thrilled to know they are safe... no one was hurt or killed with this storm. What a miracle!
The night of the storm... I was home alone, Dave & Spencer were at the mall & Alexis at work. I heard the sirens go on and off which happens a lot in the spring... but never bothered to turn the TV on. I was in my room... looked out the window and thought to myself... it's really true what they say, "the calm before the storm"... it happens every time! We know what to look & feel for... we have warnings, but I just need to do better to take cover. We just have warnings all the time. I need to remember... tornado's can come down from the clouds anytime... anywhere!
The storms here are awesome... incredible to see and feel in the air. We always know when the time is right for a tornado!
