He's Off!

This morning got up at 5:00 a.m. to get ready to take Spencer to the airport. First, Alexis went to seminary and then we ate breakfast... some very yummy pumpkin bread!
Spencer was very calm all morning... didn't show any signs of nervousness! I'm thankful for the sweet blessing's he received from our wonderful Stake President to be set apart and for Dave's blessing last night! It was a lovely evening!
We arrived at the SLL airport at 6:45 to check his bags. We then walked towards the gate he needed to be at for security. The line was very long so it gave us time to stand in line with him until the very last step we could possibly take. We were saying our good-byes while we stood with him, we cried, we hugged,  we kissed his sweet cheek and held on to every moment we had before we couldn't walk with each other anymore. Spencer was sweet, every so often, he would turn around to look at us and wave over the huge crowd till we could no longer see him!
We were pretty emotional, needless to say... we knew what to expect, we've done this before with Quinn eight years before! It's such a emotional time... so many emotions!
We turned around to walk away... our little family! We were all quiet, crying, and holding each others hands as we made it back to our car.
Our sweet daughter, Erica and her sweet family will be waiting for him on the other end, at the SLC airport to greet him and meet up with Dave's family at Wendy's (Spencer's request) to say their good-byes.
He reports to the MTC at 12:55pm.
Text... from  Aubrey, Erica and Arlene around the same time... and he's off... he's on his way... he is officially in the MTC! Wow, It felt like I was there! I could truly feel him leave, it was very powerful!
I'm so thankful for him to experience this wonderful journey!
SWEET/SORROWFUL DAY. Wouldn't want it any other way!
