Election Day

Remember to go out and VOTE today! Dave and I made sure we were at the polls to vote right at 6:00 a.m. We we afraid we would run into long lines and we were right. Everyone else had the same idea as we did. The line was so long we left. People were telling us it would be at least a 3 hour or longer wait. I will go back later on today, mid morning. Dave will need to find a time that will work best for him.
Yesterday on the phone, Quinn told me to go and buy a book titled "What I love about Palin" and read it while I waited in line with the book held up for everyone to see. Quinn and his humor, love it!
It's exciting that Quinn & Erica get to vote for their first time. They both are excited to participate. It is taught in the school district here how important it is to vote. The schools have all the students vote the day before any election, even the little elementary children. They follow the election closely and are allowed to talk about it freely. Alexis came home yesterday with McCain & Palin stickers all over her body. The first thing Spencer told me when he got home was, "GO MCCAIN!" I'm thankful for the schools for teaching students the importance of voting, every ones voice & opinions matter. It's important to me & Dave as parents, for them get to experience what it's like to vote on a trial run. The day when they are at age to vote, it won't be so new for them because they have been taught by their parents & schools the importance of ................. ALL votes count.
GO MCCAIN & PALIN!
